Add pep to your step : by jogging with a parachute attached to your back. The extra resistence builds strength in your legs, plus you're set if you accidentally run off a cliff.

Reminds me of those water treadmills, where you just keep swimming and swimming and never reach the end of the pool - also great resistance training. I can't wait to see someone wearing one of these things.

I like that idea, actually. Long runs don't appeal to me -- too boring, and inefficient -- and you can't only run uphill....
