Royals select hard throwing right-hander Hochevar No. 1 overall: After failing to reach a deal with the Dodgers Hochevar re-enters the draft and gets picked first overall (he was previously the 40th pick with the Dodgers)

yet another Boras client pulls a j.d. drew and will likely reap the benefits of it...

MLB.com's draft coverage is pretty nice.

yet another Boras client pulls a j.d. drew and will likely reap the benefits of it So for every non-Boras client without the gravitas to force the issue, should we post "Yet another team reaps the benefits of the inequitable draft system"?

MLB.com's draft coverage is pretty nice. Color me impressed: I can sort right down to Red Sox picks and see video for the top 5 or so. Not the top 5 picks, the top 5 Sox picks (up to like #200). We'll ignore the fact most of it (for the Sox' top pick) was him in a batting cage and the rest was him watching 4 pitches go under home plate, but it's still an amazing information access.

But now you know that he knows how to take a pitch.

By that criteria, Stephen Hawking would have been drafted in the top 10.

I'm sure most MLB teams could find at least some use for Stephen Hawking, I mean come on, he is the smartest man, maybe ever... he could... well, I'm sure that he could... Oh shit I don't know.

The picks take less than a minute, around pick 200 anyway. That's faster than most fantasy drafts. It was kinda fun to watch, for about 5 picks and then I was over it.

A Washington Husky goes number 10. A proud day for Selma Bouvier.

He was interviewed on the radio today, and they asked him why he turned down the 3.5 mil. the Dodgers offered him last year. After much stuttering, he declined to answer, stating that it was very complicated. Hmmmmm.....How much will it take for the Royals to sign him? Boras vs. David Glass. Not good for KC fans. We've been down this road before.

Atlanta got a steal with Chad Rodgers from Walsh Jesuit in the 100's. His team just finished winning the D-3 State Championship here in Ohio.

The last guy at the very bottom of this link, John Holdzkom, is now a Mets prospect. He was selected in Round 4 today. That kid has character. Or is a character. Or something. At least he's tall.
