I have played the game. The "dink" of the bat is what it is all about! Unless you are on the mound.

that "dink" is the worst sound in baseball. it's like someone running their fingers over a chalkboard.

that "dink" is the worst sound in baseball. it's like someone running their fingers over a chalkboard. Sounds like a pitcher talking. Don't get him started on the crack of the bat. Speaking of which, isn't there some sort of significant baseball event happening this week? Ps & Cs, BABY!!

i think its freakin awesome that the're making a college baseball game rather than another MVP title. College players play with all their soul... pros only play with their wallets.

As for the 'dink'. Didn't I hear somewhere that there is a summer league mode for this game? Where you can compete with wooden bats, like they do in the Northwoods League; a premier college summer league, btw, where the likes of Juan Pierre, Clint Barmes, Jay Gibbons, Bobby Kielty, Wes Obermueller, and Robb Quinlan, among others, got their start?

the "cracking" of a bat and bats slamming of bats in bat racks out of frustration are the best sounds in baseball. that would great for a video game, punch someone out and have them go back to the dugout and throw their bat and helmet in disgust. then have them sulk out to their positions during the inning change i will be reporting with the other p's and c's in the beautiful little town of Metepec, D.F., located at the base of a giant volcano, on Feb. 26th. if anyone wants to play agent and find me a job in the states have at it. stolenbase7, not all pros play with their wallets, some still play for the love of the game and thrill that competition brings. believe me, i could probably do alot better financially working a real job.

For those wondering, here's a photo of Metepec.

I'm glad EA got stuck with the "dink" real baseball fans know the REAL game is with 2k series.......Oh by the way will wheaton has been reviewing games since the heyday of g4.....I believe he even had an infomercial for Phillips CD-I system about 8 yrs ago!!!

2K games has the exclusive 3rd party licence for all MLB games for (I believe) 10 years. Slightly OT. I once sold Wil porn. And yes I'm calling him by his first name. When you sell a man porn you drop all the formalities.

Tranny Deluxe #15? Golden Showers Girls? Foot Sniffers? Butt Bois #33? Do tell, lilnemo.

I find it odd that the review doesn't mention the fact that EA is making a college game simply because they lost the rights to the MLB. Which is a funny thing since they bullied away all their NFL videogame competition (NFL2K) with giant bags of money hats thrown at the NFL to get an exclusive license. They chose to play that game and they got burned for it with baseball.

College players play with all their soul... pros only play with their wallets. Don't forget about the minor leaguers. They play their hearts out just to get a sniff of the Show.

chris2sy: Yes, erkno11 is a left-handed pitcher. At least, he told me I was right... And MLB teams often don't have a clue who to take on. Left-handed or not.
