Trouble at ESPN Radio: Tony Kornheiser suspended for a week because he kept talking on the air about the firings of Jason Jackson and several producers.

Is that why he hasn't been on PTI too? These substitutes are killing me! The other day was especially bad when they had Max Kellerman and all his lispy glory.

I thought he was on 'vacation', at least thats what the PTI replacements said for Tony and Michael Wilbon. I much prefer Tony on TV than radio. Just listening to his voice can be a bit grating, especially when it's coming over the cubicle wall from my co-worker next door.

Kornheiser can be funny, but I have a low tolerance for his affected I'm-too-smart-to-be-in-sports style. I haven't listened to ESPN Radio regularly since Tony Bruno stopped doing their NFL post-game show on Sundays.

It was a dark day when my sports station of choice cut Jim Rome short for the insufferable Kornheiser ("Kornhole") show. Blah.

Kornheiser = God. But I am biased.

So, I guess this is why he hasn't been on PTI. Wonder why Wilbon hasn't been though. They are the two that make the show interesting. Those other hosts are just trying to fake the kind of "buds at the bar talking sports" relationship TK and MW have going, and it's not working well. I want them back!

Yeah, I noticed how ESPN spun it that Tony was on "Vacation." Interesting. Funny that you mention Tony Bruno, I used to listed to him all the time when he did the morning show for WIP here in Philly. Hasn't been the same since. ESPN Radio 1040AM here in Philly (station is out of Trenton/Flemington, NJ) does the most unusual thing. They bump Patrick and Dibble up to the evening drivetime shift on tape delay and have Jim Rome on at lunch live. In a way, it's a blessing because I don't flip it on a lunch. Rome is just ridiculous, so obnoxious. I can't wait to see how Tony acts once he comes back. Sounds like ESPN hit him pretty hard stripping him of two of his producers.

Yesterday on PTI, Mr. Lispy and that other guy who is nearly as annoying just said Tony and Michael still weren't here, no comment. Good to see they dropped the vacation crap.
