Liverpool deja vu.: In a 3rd round FA Cup tie today, Liverpool (current EPL #3) came from 3-1 behind to win 5-3 against lowly Luton (9th in the Championship, which is the division below the EPL). Last season, Liverpool became Euro Champions after a miraculous comeback from being 3-0 behind in the final. Wish I had seen this match. (Liverpool's fifth goal was a 60-yd curler from Alonso into an empty net after the Luton goalie had come all the way up for a corner.)

Wow. I'd love to have seen this too. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a replay somewhere.

Wow. Being down 3-1 and winning 5-3 is impressive. I don't care who it's against.

Is Ringo still the goalie?

Ringo Reina was on the bench. What a great game of football. It was tiring just watching it.

It was a great game - the first I have really enjoyed (even when Luton went deservedly ahead) for a long time - maaybe even since the European Cup Final. When Liverpool show up at the moment (which they failed to do for long periods in the first half of this) they look very very good.

And who said 0-0 draws were boring after the Burton Albion vs Man United game last night.

Finally caught the Liverpool replay Sunday night and Albion-United last night. The soul of football is alive and well. Tiny stadiums, chewed up pitches, dim lighting, sponsors unfamiliar to the world outside the Isles. God I love the FA Cup.
