Yahoo Year-end Photos:

I've only looked through the first dozen or so, and...wow. Just wow. If you're looking to see the shot of your favorite team in their Big Moment, you may well be disappointed here. If, OTOH, you want to see some truly amazing sports photography -- damn, each shot is practically a study in great composition or framing or something -- this is a link not to miss. Thanks for posting it, garfield. Now 'scuse me while I go back and drool some more.

There are some great shots in there, its too bad there wasnt a camera in the womens bathroom of that Tampa Bay bar.... that would have really wrapped the year up nicely.

This one's my favorite, though I do love the 'Sheed as well.

The track ones especially are uniformly fantastic.

This one is great—I remember thinking that entire tournament that Ovechkin was some overhyped kid who wouldn't cut it. He's certainly proving me wrong. This one looks like a prime opportunity for another Gary Bettman Photoshop Moment. Hey!

This one is a bittersweet picture. Uh...ouch?

llb, your most welcome. my favorite. NoMich, that's exactly what I said. (Warning - Self Link)

I think this one would be my favorite. Thanks, garfield.

That's a weird collection of photos. There seem to be about as many pictures of the Canadian Jr hockey team (or even of Gretzky coaching) as there were of baseball. A few more lists at CNNSI, MSNBC (sports editorial cartoons of the year) and Fox Sports.

Schilling sure doesn't look like he believes little blue Rafi... ugh brilliant!

http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/pgStory?contentId=5214676&pageNumber=34 is of Split Personality Lauren Quinn, the sister of Notre Dame Fight Irish quarterback Brady Quinn and the girlfriend of Ohio State Buckeyes linebacker A.J. Hawk, wears a jersey representing both teams before the Tostito's Fiesta Bowl at the Sun Devil Stadium a very funny thing when hwk sacks quiin although she has no reaction

It's funny how her jersey not only represents both teams, but both teams' business partners: Nike and Adidas. (link)

I thought the swimmer, James Goddard, was a photo of a dog swimming. Doesn't it look like that? I'd better find a picture of him out of the water. Maybe he DOES resemble a dog.

If I were Brady Quinn I would give my sister some shit for not wearing a full Irish jersery, unless her and her "boyfriend" are engaged. Also, I think Curt Schilling is thinking this: "You are lying your ass off Raffy. If they figure that out you're gonna go down hard."

Doesn't it look like that? I'd better find a picture of him out of the water He does look like a dog. I spent a good minute trying to figure out what part of his head would resemble a dog's face. So I googled it, this is what he looks like: news.bbc.co.uk/.../ newsid_2165000/2165779.stm He looks like a dog.

I want to know where she got black bubble gum! Hey, guys, save that kind of thing for the showers. Michael Schumacher fails in his first attempt at pizza tossing. I like this one. Notice only the blondes fell down. This is where the Angels lost the Series. 'Scuse me, sir. I can't see the game. Could you please remove your head? When they say Tiger is looming within striking distance, they weren't kidding!! Ho!!! Some great photos. Here's to 2005 starting like 2006. Now, go pour yourselves a cold one.

Nice photos, but not enough kicks to the groin. Man, that never gets old.
