It's now or never for Hall for Monk: There are only 17 modern era receivers in Canton. If Monk doesn't get in this time, what are the chances of him ever getting in? Not good.

A travesty. He was never flashy. He was never the presence other receivers have been. But he was so good for so long that he deserves a spot.

As a Cowboy fan, Monk cost me plenty of sleepness nights. I respect his game and hope the voters see fit to give him the nod. Class act on and off the field. Good luck Art.

Similar stats to john stallworth who just got in not too long ago and whose career ended 10 years before monks did. I don't know if this is do or die this year.

"He became a finalist in last year's voting and was ignored. As time goes on, it will be easier to ignore him." Sure,,, Ignore the class of the league and promote the ass of the league( a la T.O.)!

Yeah, it's not that urgent. Those Moonies say the strangest things.

If Monk doesn't make it in this time. Something is very worng with the world. Always a standup guy and clutch reciever for the skins.

What could possibly be keeping him out? Come on, look at the guy's stats. I'm a Cowboys fan and I hate the Redskins, but Art Monk is a class act with unbelievable stats. Maybe he had some kind of run-in with the law and some hookers (just kidding). Hope he gets in because he deserves it

Truly a travesty. I've never liked the Redskins, but Art Monk was a class act. For its own sake, the NFL can't afford to ignore people of his caliber.

Free Art Monk!

I'm a Giants fan, but I totally agree with mustang71. Monk used to run through those small Giant (oxymoron) cornerbacks like s#!t through a goose.

Sad...only ten comments. Nobody cares. Art Monk should be a Hall of Famer. I guess he wasn't flashy or self centered enough to gain enough attention. Probably thought his stats would speak for themselves...I wish him luck.

I don't know that # of comments means anything (other than that the site has seen an influx of people who want to jaw about Terrell Owens). If Art Monk never makes the HoF, it says more about the HoF voters than it does about Art Monk. The numbers are there for anyone to see.
