Parcells explains shove to assistant: A day after the Cowboys' 13-10 loss to the Seahawks, a lot of the talk in the locker room centered on coach Bill Parcells shoving receivers coach Todd Haley on the sideline.

Parcells is an idiot, who's past his prime he belongs in a broadcasters booth along with his lame duck quaterback Drew(i cant win the big one )Bledsoe,I cheered when N.E got rid of him and the "TUNA"

Terrific analysis. Want to explain how either of your claims applies, given the Cowboys are doing ok behind Drew and Bill?

I figured that Parcells would make news for that incident, which was as much a punch as a shove. He was in a nasty mood throughout the game, and that was before the Cowboys let the Seahawks score 10 points in the last two minutes. Would've been fun to see Haley knock the Tuna on his can.

Parcells looked like a douche, but how many times does an assistant coach need to be told to stay on the sidelines? Bet he remembers from now on?

Do what you want with the extra question mark in that comment.

Want to explain how either of your claims applies, given the Cowboys are doing ok behind Drew and Bill? My opinion, so no explanation is necessary, but i'll entertain you. Bill p barely pulled off a SB victory with the giants(only because of a bad kick) took a N.E team to the SB (9 yrs ago)to be massacred by GreenBay (great game by Bledsoe by the way *sarcasm*)since then what has either one done?won a few lost alot, been to the playoff how many times??so if OK is good for you fine, I'll bet that Dallas fans are not happy with OK, oh and by the way with that loss on sunday (which was a BIG GAME for dallas)they are now in the cellar in their division...peace

If parcells can't control his temper then he shouldn't be in the game- its as dead honest as that. Parcells has no excuses, there is never an excuse to get physical unless your body or that of another is threatened or there is legal consent. And if anyone disagrees with that I think they need to evaluate themselves. I undersand there was frustration but lets be real. AT THE SAME TIME if Haley can't do what he is told as an employee the Cowboys should fire his ass. Parcells is the boss and he is probably embarassed he loses all the time, so if Haley can't control himself get him out of there. Back to the Books for me FN sucks missing Monday Night!

The whole team had 136 yards receiving. Houston had more yards than that against them a week ago. Houston. I would have done more than throw a punch at the receiver coach, that's for sure.

ummmm, maybe I'm wrong, but this ain't fucking golf... Tension, anger and if Haley don't like it he can leave... The only person who has any bussiness getting in the refs face is the head coach, given the latest mandates handed down from above.. Granted Parcells is bombastic, but..Haley was outta line. After all this is'nt badmitton... Also like him or not he's a proven winner.

Bledsoe does suck. New England was laughing at the Bills when we "stole" him from them and now we are laughing at Dallas. Bledsoe cannot win a big, high pressure game, he will lose the game for his team. I can give hundreds of examples of this but the best one is last game of last season. A win by Buffalo and they are in the playoffs. Bledsoe couldn't even beat Pittsburgh 2nd and 3rd stringers. He single-handedly lost that game. Now as for Parcells, that is only expected by someone in Dallas. The most classless organization in the NFL. He should be suspended and/or fired AND fined. If a NFL player ever did something like that, they sure as hell would be. The coach is supposed to set the example, no wonder Keyshon "it's all about me" Johnson acts the way he does. It is called discipline and respect. But the worst owner, Jones, will let it slide. Go "America's Team" and whoever named Dallas that deserves to be exterminated. Parcells needs to take lessons from real coachs - Gibbs, Reid, Beilichik etc...

I grew up in Dallas. I'm not happy with where the Cowboys are under Parcells. They should be 6-1, but they handed games to the Redskins and the Seahawks late in the fourth quarter. If they can't run off a winning streak, this will be another wasted season like the one last year under Vinny Testaverde, and we'll be one step closer to the inevitable day that Bill quits and runs. The Cowboys should be better. They have great young running backs, a strong defense, and Bledsoe has been leading the NFC. The biggest problem I have with Parcells hitting Haley, as opposed to simply telling him to get the hell away from the officials, is that it shows a lack of composure that did not escape the notice of his team. If Parcells can demand that a punt returner keep his head, he should be able to keep his.

Bledsoe cannot win a big, high pressure game Other than a couple of playoff games to get the Pats to the Super Bowl, the AFC Championship in 2001 cold off the bench, etc. I'm not asking to swap Tom Brady for him, but let's not be silly.

Okay, so Bledsoe stole your prom date. Move on, man, move on...you're better off without her.

I'm not a big fan of Bledsoe either but as a Bear fan I would take him any day. The Bears seem to think a quarterback is the change you get from a dollar when you buy a newspaper.

With the departure of Tom Landry, the cowboys organization has taken a nose dive and has yet to bottom out. Parcells fill the mold of a true classless leader.

he most classless organization in the NFL. He should be suspended and/or fired AND fined. Really, worse than the vikings? Me thinks you're confusing the present cowboys with the irvin cowboys. I'm not happy with where the Cowboys are under Parcells. They should be 6-1, but they handed games to the Redskins and the Seahawks late in the fourth quarter. That's the true problem. Parcells seems to have gained the ability to snatch defeat from victory, and it's gonna kill the cowboys down the road.

Parcells = Bob Knight. Old man whose tired and antiquated anger tactics have lost their effect while having a net result of loss of respect. Time to retire.

Bill p barely pulled off a SB victory with the giants(only because of a bad kick) He won 2 super bowls, XXI and XXV took a N.E team to the SB (9 yrs ago)to be massacred by GreenBay Patriots pulled within 7pts in the forth and desmond howard(mvp) returned a kick 99 yards it was plenty close. since then what has either one done?won a few lost alot, been to the playoff how many times?? Parcells has only had one losing season since 1997 and that was last year. Oh what else. 165-123-1 record, second most wins of any active coach. One of 8 active coaches to win a super bowl. One of 4 active coaches to win multiple superbowls. So, if your gonna make stupid comments like this: I dont like him and whats he won ? 1 superbowl in 20 years seems to me he aint shit without Belicheck,he's barely made the playoffs over the years, who you kiddin. At least know some facts.

Personaly I think it's a PC bullshit. Anyone remember when Ditka slapped the side of a guy's helmet and grabbed his facemask and yelled at him? Where are the guy's like Butkis, and Joe Green and the like? We have guys now who make more money and can't play with a hurt finger or toe. Over paid and don't wanna play, that's true problem. Easy to get easy money. Try tennis, those guys play with more heart than some"football" players. Maybe now is a good time to re-negotiate his contract.......

6-10 cowboys 2004 10-6 cowboys 2003 made playoffs 8-8 jets 1999 12-4 jets 1998 afc championship game 9-7 jets 1997 And in the superbowl in 96'. The real story is these teams woeful records the years before parcells took over. Face it man you don't have a leg to stand on. and if you watched the pats green bay game it was never really close Being in cheeseland I watched the entire game, it was close.
