Rocket Racing!: "Rocket planes called X-Racers will compete on a sky "track" in the design of a Grand Prix race, with long straightaways and the added dimenson of vertical ascents and deep banks. The race will run perpendicular to spectators and be about two miles long, one mile wide and 5,000 feet in the air. The X-Racers will be staggered upon takeoff and fly their own "tunnel" of space, each separated by a few hundred feet. Pilots will be guided by differential GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to help them avoid collisions." I sure hope so.

WOW....Who is sponsering this? The creators of South Park, or is it Celebrity Death Match??? Either way, we cannot seem to keep Nascar guys from freaking out on one another....so lets add MORE speed and ALTITUDE to the equation....

Its being done by the same guy who did the sub-orbital space travel contest and as far as I have read it aint a real live event as of now but being done in a 3-D setting kinda like a simulator but the pilots are real. They do want to make it a real live thing but not right now here is another article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4307538.stm and the actual site to the rocket racing is http://www.rocketracingleague.com/
