Ten Reasons Why the Nets Will Win the 2002 NBA Finals.: Okay, so they looked awful last night, but let us not lose hope that the Nets will show up and compete. BTW, Joe Netsfan is a brilliant New Jersey Nets fan site. If you're going to build a fan site, it should look and work like this (clean design, fresh content, informative, and entertaining).

So what do the Nets have to do to win the NBA Championship? My thoughts: 1) Martin must wake up and start playing like his mean, bad-ass, agressive self, 2) Jason Collins must play early and often, 3) the team must move the ball around and let Kidd touch it 2 or 3 times a possession, 4) they must rebound the ball, and 5) they must start making their free throws.

So what do the Nets have to do to win the NBA Championship? Shaq must be eliminated, literally. The Nets have absolutely no answer for the big man, and will therefore be rolled over, probably in 5, but I'm hoping for a sweep. I hate the Lakers. I want them to just finish this up quickly so I can forget this past season.

The first game looked like the only thing the Lakers were battling was tedium. "Shaq gets the ball in the low post! Oh! He's dozed off! Someone poke him!" "Kobe Bryant is curled up just outside the three point line, and has requested a wake-up call should the Nets get within ten points."

Although I didn't realize it, this is exactly why I'm also "rooting" for the Lakers. Just end it!

Nope, a team cannot survive on heart alone. If last year's 76'ers couldn't do it, and this year's Sacramento Kings couldn't do it, then I don't see the Nets doing it. It is a cliche, but the Kings-Lakers series *was* the NBA finals. I'm not even planning on watching the Nets play, the sad tale in the sports column will suffice, thank you.
