Arizona Gives Fans the Bird: The Cardinals logo has become angry after 45 years with only a single playoff win. "Hopefully it will be worn by tougher and faster and meaner players," says Owner Bill Bidwill. And then those players will sign with another team that offers them a competitive salary.

From this: to this: I like the new one. I hate it when teams redo their logo 'cause they usually eff it up, but the Cardinals didn't make that mistake. Now if they could just field a decent team.

Yeah, the logo's gonna make everything better for them now...

New logo, new unis, new stadium. Anything but new players.

hey alot of teams have had success after changing logos/ uniforms. jus some examples... my team the eagles had a couple okay seasons with the lime green unis and full eagle logo, but there has been a drastic turn around after they changed. jus a couple more that come to mind are what do u know the other superbowl team the patriots and the buccaneers all have done better with new looks. new look = new attitude .. lets see if it holds up for the cardnals

...the cards on the other hand suck and there not doing anything about it. Sure they are. They very slightly changed their logo. Now it has attitude. That should be good for at least 1 preseason win next year.

Well, we all know the saying, "Same ol' Bills." Now, it'll be, "Same ol' Cards!" Nothing will help that franchise for years to come. The expansion Texans will win the Super Bowl before the Cards make the playoffs. And you can quote me on that!

Does anyone else recall the 49ers changing their logo circa 1990? It lasted about a week before fan outcry caused it to be withdrawn.

I always thought the Cardinals had the classiest logo in the league. So, while it's a shame to see it changed, I'm pleasantly surprised by how well they've done it. I don't like the new one quite as much, but at least they didn't make it suck.

You can't polish a turd.

You know, I just don't find a little two-ounce bird all that intimidating, no matter how angry it is. It's like an irritated kitten or an annoyed goldfish or a furious Gary Coleman.

I like it. Go Cards.

I just don't find a little two-ounce bird all that intimidating You obviously have never entered into a territorial dispute with a Cardinal. They're mean little bastards.

holy shit! an angry gary coleman. That's funny. New logo......Same result. Get an owner other than Bidwell. Now that would be a fresh start.

The logo changes are always weird...especially those to make the mascot look tougher. Locally the Bemidji State Beavers changed their logo, I think to make it look tougher, but hey, its still only a beaver... They didn't monkey with the Cardinals' Logo too much at least.

They should just go ahead and change the name to something fiercer, like Dragons, Firebirds, or Sunhawks. Anything but Cardinals! By the way, are there any actual cardinal birds in Arizona?

Are there any actual Dragons, Firebirds, or Sunhawks in Arizona? Or anywhere in the world, for that matter.
