Just give him the damn paddle?: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson threatens to spank Fox reporter Pam Oliver for what he says is an erroneous report. Whatever happened to just busting a cap in someone's ass?

KJ needs to join the reality-based community. Though spanking Ms. Oliver sounds like fun in the right context.

Oh, yeah, and he doesn't have a prejudiced bone in his body, he's got nothing at all against women reporters, and the flavor of his reaction had nothing to do with her gender, yeah, uh huh... Where have we heard this kind of thing before, Keyshawn?

I think Keyshawn's comments have less to do with sexism than sex. I can't imagine that he's the only athlete who wants to spank attractive female sideline reporters "really, really hard." He's just the only one dumb enough to make his desire a matter of public record.

I think Keyshawn's comments have less to do with sexism than sex. Entirely possible. However, when I was living in Boston, I once had a white co-worker who moonlighted as a cab driver. I remember him telling me about the first time he got a fare for Roxbury. He began the tale with that wince-producing phrase, "Now, I don't have a prejudiced bone in my body, but...". And there's something really similar in the tone of Keyshawn's remarks. (btw, the non-prejudiced cab driver's trip to Roxbury was completely uneventful, except for the life-threatening experience of seeing lots of African-Americans)

No driver of color ever wanted to venture into Southie. It was a huge pain in the ass.
