Reinstated.: Gary Barnett was reinstated yesterday as head football coach at the University of Colorado. The president of the school said 'it was the right thing to do.' She also said that that Barnett had 'paid a price' for his offensive statements. What price?

On one had "sweeping changes" are promised, yet "no one will lose their jobs for one of the worst college athletics scandals in years". That's pretty much an oxymoron. Somehow, it doesn't surprise me. That's college football for ya.

Bunch of fucking self-fealing pansy assholes if you ask me. Should have cleaned the football and athletic departments out.

self-dealing, although self-feeling wouldn't be bad either.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. What does it take to get fired? Barnett is an extraordinary asshole that gave his students the impression that they could get away with anything. This move by the University of Colorado administration confirms it. To the administration and the students that rallied around Barnett: you get what you deserve.

Yeesh. Even the Huskies fired Neuheisel. I wonder if this will hurt recruiting, maybe parents won't be so eager to send their sons and daughters to CU now that they've shown what they stand for.

A poll of the folks who issued the report says five out of eight of them were in favor of firing at least a couple administrators. They didn't recommend firings because they wanted a unanimous front. Umm, if five of you thought someone should be fired, and the report doesn't say anyone should be canned ... that would make you a bunch of yellow-bellied pansies.
