Stand by for a statement from Rev. Pat Robertson explaining how some things just couldn't be anything but God's doing.

Those who prefer the superb basic value of Evan Williams Single Barrel Black Label or Eagle Rare, bow down and give thanks that your holiday merriment agenda was spared.

Actually, I'm torn. My ancestors were Loyalists who were expelled from NY in 1783. I should have some feeling for England, but then, had the British had any clue about how to fight a war, my ancestors would still own half of Long Island. U S A...U S A.

Does anyone else think the cockiness of the USWNT during this World Cup is great for women's soccer? Megan Rapinoe gave this tournament a major storyline from the best team from its most interesting player. Alex Morgan kept it going. Now we see the supremely confident U.S. team either win it all or go down in humbling defeat.

The cost of disappointing harrumphing scolds is lower than the heightened interest they've wrung from this tournament. Rapinoe's "are you not entertained?" is an iconic image that won't be forgotten.
