I took note of the heartfelt fallout from Willie Taggart's departure from Oregon for FSU. Some of his incoming recruits had really connected with him and were very discouraged. The larger story of these young guys trying to make huge decisions about their futures in an environment of great uncertainty governed by limitless amounts of money, power, and intrigue is very compelling.

Thinking of the annual college football coaching carousel in general, I began to wonder: what percentage of highly sought after recruits end up spending their entire college career playing for the coach that they originally committed to at the school they originally committed to?
