You can leave off the final 2 steps of that chain, NoMich. Clemson is #1. Therefore, I, as a MAC alum, am outraged that Central Michigan is not going to get its shot at the playoff.

Oh, that beautiful Howard/UNLV game. It was a pivotal point for Carthage College (WI)'s championship and St. Anselm's near-championship. But still, fire up, Chips!

The primary connectors for most of these chains are:

- Permian Basin beating West New Mexico (Div III beating Div II)
- Central State (Ohio) beating Ark Pine Bluff (Div II beating Div I FCS)
- Howard beating UNLV (Div I FCS beating Div I FBS)
- Syracuse beating Pitt and Clemson (as that opens up a lot of links to the top teams with losses)
