My original user id for SpoFi was grum@home (because Rogers email system was "@home" originally...or maybe it was just "grum", I forget exactly). When we got internet access at work (maybe a week later), I wanted to login but I forgot my password. I couldn't access my @home email account if I did a password retrieval, so I created the "grum@work" userid (just over 15 years ago, it seems) as a temporary measure so I could read/comment on stuff while at work that day (and chose an easier password to remember).
I never went back to the original user id, and I've posted 207 links and 8743 comments on my "temporary" account.
I am, however, posting this from my house.

It's way too quiet tonight. Is everyone at their local church eating pancakes and sausages for Shrove Tuesday, or are you all out partying for Mardis Gras? I'm up in the mountains with my wife on a brief getaway, but I'm still trying to keep up.
