Are the all-star teams going to be forced to wear old skool Padres uniforms, or was that just a home run derby thing? I got more joy out of that than I should have.

I loved it. Make the NL wear those Padres uniforms and make the AL wear the '70s White Sox uniforms with the shorts.

I missed it. Were they the old brown and yellow McBurger and mustard unis?

Haven't seen an All Star game in a while. Hoping to watch tonight because I love that park and I also want to see whether Bumgarner will be pitching the clinching game of the World Series at home or away.

I think they still wear their own uniforms for the game. I know they used to, because we had this little tid-bit from 1985. Also, if there was any case to be made for Lou Whitaker's enshinement in the HOF, the voters only need to read that article...

So the Canadian singing group (The Tenors) decided to alter the lyrics to the Canadian national anthem at the All-Star game, and held up an "All Lives Matter" sign while doing so.

That's...not good. If you want to protest, go ahead and hold up a sign or raise a fist or show a tattoo or whatever. But you don't fuck with the lyrics to the national anthem.

It appears 1 singer changed the lyrics during his solo, unbeknownst to his fellow Tenors.

I guess people know who the guy is today and that must have been his goal in life. Should have given more than 2 minutes thought to coming up with a meaningful message if he planned on changing lyrics so the entire audience wonder if the dude was stoned or something ... wtf.

Given his social media feed indicates he thinks the world is flat, I imagine it was just another day at the office for him.

That's a pretty bass act for a tenor.
