The Olympics open and close with hope and dignity. The NFL opens and closes with Mariah Carey. Anyone else pist that they have to sit through an hour o' crap before the game (I'm sure owillis is in heaven; Britney and the 'skins, two great tastes that taste great together)?
Brilliant. Although if Mariah (who I still find strangely attractive, in the same way I'd like to have Margot Kidder over for tea) has a full-blown meltdown, I'd watch that.

I don't get why this pisses people off. I'm a huge football fan, who generally dislikes the pomp of off-the-field promotional events, but if I don't like it I just ignore it. It's not that hard. The NFL is attempting to make the opening weekend "an event" similar to their closing event and again, I have no problems with it. For as much criticism as they took for the same type of thing last year (Bon Jovi in Times Square) I seem to recall the ratings were good and the reviews of the show generally positive outside of football circles... And that, my friends, is exactly what they are after. I say kudos to them. Plus, Britney looks good in that Champ Bailey skirt/shirt.

Garf, do you shit us not? I didn't quite catch that... ;) Just so I don't sound like a jealous female trying to keep my sisterfriends down... I'll preface my catty statement by saying simply, "I think Britney Spears is very pretty and I have been known to enjoy some of her pre-processed pop music from time to time." And now, on with the catty statements! It looks like she's celebrating the start of the football season by coiffing her hair into a football helmet. 
yeah I know. Most of you didn't get that far up on her body to notice.
