Doctors Staple Aroldis Chapman Back Together: Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman shared a photo of his stapled head on social media after surgery Thursday. The Cuban Missile was struck by a line drive in a spring training game Wednesday and suffered a broken bone above his left eye and a slight concussion. Heard about the play but I hadn't seen it until now. Wow, that is terrifying.

Herb Score, Bryce Florie, and now Aroldis Chapman. Score tried, but never really came back to what he might have been. Florie was, at best, a journeyman. Here's hoping that Chapman will get back to form. He could turn out to be a very good one.

I never thought about the mental side of it. Even if it's in his head for a while, I think he'll eventually overcome it and regain his dominant form. With a 100+ MPH fastball and a nasty power curve, his talent should rise.

Just watched Matt Moore of the Rays take a shot directly off the mouth. He looks OK, but I won't be surprised if he looks more like a hockey player than a pitcher. This happened just minutes ago.

OK, replay shows he just got a small piece of the ball with his glove, saving him from some serious damage. By the way, he was able to pick the ball up and get the out at first.

Wow -- Moore's incident looked horrific. I think these 2 events will only lead to MLB introducing some type of helmet/visor for pitchers ...

Whether or not it will be mandatory ... I don't know.
