Never Too Early for Fantasy Hockey: The regular season is still six weeks away, but Koharski's Donuts fantasy hockey league has been set up on ESPN and needs eight more members. It's a head-to-head standard league with a live snake draft Saturday Sept. 28 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. The password to join is sprinkles.

Cool. ESPN's fantasy games seem to be experiencing some temporary glitches, but they usually only last a few minutes.

I played under these rules for the first time last season. It was a blast. Head to head games were more fun than the traditional roto style.

Also, if you want to join a fantasy football league, Nancy Grace's Hair Helmet is looking for players. ESPN charges $24.95 and the league is collecting $50 dues to give to the winner and runner-up. The password is drygulch.
I think SportsFilter will also have a totally free league, but I can't recall who set it up last time.

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't get into the site. I was able to register, but nothing past that in the fantasy section will load. I've even tried different browsers (even, ewww, IE). I'll try again in the morning, but so far it's same old, same old as far as hockey and ESPN is concerned...
