Women. Wood. Water.: Stumbled upon the Women's Boom Run on ABC/ESPN's broadcast of this weekend's ESPN Great Outdoor Games this Sunday. All those other, erm, rural games I could take or leave, but this was a new sport for me: Two women running from one dock to another and back, by sprinting over one of two parallel "tracks" comprising eight logs laid end to end over a waterway. I would have fallen over at the first log, but these women were running non-stop from end to end. Power, balance, beauty. My new favorite sport.

I loved the little dogs sprinting through obstacles. RUN FLUFFY RUN!!!! oh...and the log spinning. that shit rocks.

My favorite outdoor sports even is the dogs that run and jump off the pier.

Just in case you needed to know, the Boom Run falls into the "Timber Events" category. And the winner of the Boom Run makes a whopping $3,450. That's quite a wallet for wunning over wood on water.

I caught a little bit of that too, WC. I suspect that I was drawn in by the exact same thing that you were- some of those women are incredibly hot.
