Court vacates Saints' suspensions: A federal court Friday vacated the suspensions of four New Orleans Saints players; the NFL reinstated them several minutes later.

So apparently, the issue is that Goodell can't take the money into account -- that's the province of an independent arbitrator, since it's technically a salary-cap issue. Goodell, however, can suspend them if he feels they were trying to injure opposing players, but has to keep the bounty issue separate.

Oddly from this phrasing I thought you meant Goodell reinstated the suspensions minutes later. English what a wonderful language!

I'm sorry; I see from where you come. So much for the journalist in me.
