Some terrible news for pro basketball fans.

The report of death is not surprising. Symptoms of illness have been apparent for a long time. Players have exhibited frequent spells of falling, loss of balance, and flopping about in distress. Owners complain of bleeding of assets. Officials have shown intestinal deficiency (mostly lacking in fortitude), and the commissioner evidently has some sort of dementia in that he recognizes none of these symptoms. Too bad such an otherwise healthy appearing entity could pass so quickly.

I would be ecstatic if the NBA went away forever, not least of which is constantly being told I should play in it, because you know I MUST because I'm so fucking tall...

Oh wow. You're tall? Ever play in the NBA?

Ralph Sampson is living proof that many really tall people have in fact played in the NBA without having the requisite passion or desire, athletic ability regardless.

He is joined in flaccid limbo by hordes of others too numerous to name. In the words of the immortal Derrick Coleman, whoop de damn do.

If I were as tall as you I would have played in the NBA because I am fast and have great moves. The only thing stopping me was my height.
