Falcons Acquire Samuel from Eagles: The Atlanta Falcons have acquired four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a draft pick. Samuel, 31, has agreed to restructure his contract to a three-year, $18.5 million deal with Atlanta.

Once this would have been solo postworthy. But ever since he let Eli's gift wrapped balloon ball sail through his hands along the sideline during the Giants winning TD drive in the 2008 SB, all Samuel-related news has been designated by the Guardians of the Universe as huddle material.

I'm a little surprised he netted only a throw-away (7th round) draft pick, especially considering he was willing to renegotiate his salary to 6 mil/year.
