He wasn't too old to get teed up in the game, even in his street clothes.

Creepy and awesome. It's almost a shame we didn't have the technology yet to see Peter King fawning over Brett Favre in real time.

I'm sure I've expressed similar sentiments before, but can ESPN please lock Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd in a closet and not open the door until they've trolled each other to death?

apoch, I agree. Then we can have a Twitter wager to see which one canibalises the other first. I think Colin would eat him alive.

apoch, I would fund that Kickstarter to the top level (assuming I get one or more limbs for doing so).

The Jaguars made a better offer than the Jets to get Tim Tebow, according to Jags owner Shahid Khan. The Jags offered $500,000 more in cash and their fourth-round pick is nine selections earlier.

So if you're one of the people who thinks Tebow didn't choose the Jets, you have to come up with a new conspiracy why the Broncos would accept a lesser trade for him.

Gabbert haters will now be referred directly to Tebow for reassurance.

Gabbert's entering year 2 of his rookie deal after a shaky initial campaign, Sanchez just got committed to by management and re-upped significantly, yet Tebow thinks his best chance to be the starter is in NY.

Cue the Green Acres theme song.

To be fair, legend has it that Joey Crawford once gave his sweet Nana a flagrant-2 for passing the salt at the Thanksgiving Dinner table when he clearly requested the pepper.

The Frozen 4 are sharpening their skates for the Tampa Bay Times Forum ice. With all respect to Union and Ferris State, I really think the BC vs Minnesota game is the marquee match up. Going into the first round, I thought that a Hockey East team had the inside track to the championship. Having seen what Minnesota did to a good BU team and to North Dakota, I'm not so sure any more. Ferris State did just enough to get by Cornell and Denver, while Union impressed with solid wins over Michigan State and UMass Lowell. I still think BC, unscored upon in wins over Air Force and Minnesota Duluth, is a favorite, but not overwhelmingly so.

tommy, that anthem was awful.

Caught the Twins/Rays game in Fort Meyers on Saturday, 8 year old girl sings the anthem. Nails it, she ought to be called up for World Series/Super bowl games.

The US men's Olympic qualification ends in stoppage time against El Salvador. That's going to create a hole in the schedule for the U23s as World Cup qualifying begins: probably not what Klinsmann wanted.

More player available to Klinsmann for the senior team games /snark
