Greg Ostertag Seeks NBA Comeback: Five years after he retired, former Utah Jazz center Greg Ostertag has signed with an NBA Development League team in the hopes of returning to the NBA. Ostertag, 38, will play for the Texas Legends in Frisco. "I shouldn't have quit when I did," he said. "I know there's a lot of naysayers out there who think I couldn't play when I was younger and how am I going to be able to play now?"

Darn the holidays. Nobody is answering their messages. This is my chance to become a pro sports agent.

I'm trying to get Greg Kite on the phone. Gotta start somewhere.

Greg, baby; we loved you at KU, they loved you in Salt Lake, but this is a cry for help. Conditioning was never your strong suit. What makes you think you can run the floor any better at 38 than you did when you were in your twenties? If this is about the money, I'm sure someone in Salt Lake would be happy to offer you a 9-5 job. Don't do it man.

Call me a chicken, but I'd want to have an answer to that question before I started putting on short pants and running around with kids.

Good. There's been a dearth of tall, awkward-looking white guys with flattops in the NBA since he left.

Great backup plan for any team unable to strike a deal for Dwight Howard.

Any team could offer him a contract.

To use him as trade bait no doubt.
