Nationals Catcher Wilson Ramos Kidnapped: Wilson Ramos, a catcher for the Washington Nationals, was kidnapped Wednesday from his family home in Valencia, Venezuela, by four armed men in a van. There's no word yet of a ransom demand. Kathe Vilera, the manager of the Tigres de Aragua team Ramos has been playing for in that country, posted on Twitter, "Lack of security in this country has no limits and nobody does anything! When will the kidnappings stop?"

can't imagine that will bode well for the Venezuela winter league. What major leaguers are going to want to play there now?

Hope he comes out of this unscathed.

Hope he comes out of this unscathed.

He did.

After a tumultuous sports week, some good news was needed. Glad to know he was found safe.
