Bald Vinny Has Led His Last Yankees Roll Call: "Bald Vinny" Milano, the leader of the New York Yankees roll call from his seat in bleacher section 203, announced on his blog that he won't be back next year because he can't afford it. Milano's been making a living for years selling unauthorized T-shirts like "Bahston Sawks Cack" outside the stadium, but business has sawked cack lately. "I've always had funny shirts, and people would come by and buy them. Now they take their phones out, and they take a picture of them and they text them and they post them on Facebook instead," he said. "I'd love to get something with health insurance, you know?"

That interview is hilarious. My favorite bit:

Don't you think there are things that cross the line?
For us, it's not being vulgar. You can get on somebody and ride them all game, and never once curse, or be racial. [. . . ] I think that only the real bad stuff is off-limits. We wouldn't do anything racial. Jacoby Ellsbury, perfect example, has some Indian heritage. We do Tonto jokes all night long. You know what I mean? But we would never do something offensive.

That dick sure whines a lot. I hope his bald ploy to get someone else to buy him season tickets fails.

I don't know how you could read that as a plea to get season tickets. It's a plea to get outside capital or a job with the Yankees.

As a small business owner, I can understand not knowing when to quit after you've invested so much sweat equity in a venture. But the potential of his shirt-selling business is so limited it's probably time to put that business on waivers.

Fine, a plea to get someone to support his failed business so he can get his own season tickets and be a dick with his buddies. Perhaps I'm doing more than just reading. Simple math.

I'm fine with you hating the guy. I just think you underestimated what he wanted.

Hating? Whoah. I think you must be right. We don't read the same way at all.

I'm sorry. I just realized I'm the one being a dick. I don't know why I chose to be so snotty and I apologize for it. I'll do better next time.

Subjects that pertain to the Yankees aren't supposed to cause this type of discord and acrimony.
