From the link: "Another signature addition will be Tesla coils on either side of the scoreboard that will shoot lightning 25 feet."

Yikes!

That sounds like the opening scene to JCVD's next straight to DVD where the terrorists take over the Tesla Coils and threaten to electrocute every one in the stands- Sudden Death: White Lightning.

That's funny, but he should have required them to be mentioned favorably. Now, McNabb can say five times how much they suck and still get the number.

MLSE seeks injunction over Ryerson plan for Maple Leaf Gardens In court filings, the company is demanding Ryerson University stop using the name Maple Leaf Gardens in connection with the site and suggests it fears the school's new 2,500-seat venue will compete with the Air Canada Centre, the Leafs' current home.

Bob Bradley out as US Men's coach.

The Leafs' owner claims the university's use of the name "Maple Leaf Gardens" infringes on its trademark. MLSE argues the name could allow Ryerson to sell school products to people who mistakenly believe they are affiliated with the Leafs.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what MLSE is doing there. If you don't protect your trademark, you could lose it.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if a compromise is made where actually Maple Leaf memorabilia is sold at the arena as part of a licensing agreement for keeping the "Maple Leaf Gardens" name, and free practice space for the Leafs/Marlies when they need it.

Firing Bradley now seems like making the best of a bad job: the USSF had a year with a gentle but competitive schedule to assess the side's development trajectory for 2014, and decided that it wasn't working. The next big competition is the Olympics, which is basically a U-23 competition with three older players allowed on the squad, and that's probably a good foundation for whoever takes over.

Vince Young cut, Reggie Bush traded away, Matt Leinart a free agent. The supposed big three in the 2006 draft, though Leinart did drop down.

Maybe Mario Williams was not such bad No. 1 pick after all.

They are moving Williams to LB, so we will see how that turns out.
