NFL Makes Third Offer to Super Bowl 400: The NFL has made its third offer to the 400 Super Bowl ticketholders who missed seeing the game because of unsafe seats. The fans can be paid $5,000 or reimbursement for "actual documented" Super Bowl expenses, whichever is higher, said league spokesman Brian McCarthy. Lawyer Michael Avenatti, who is pursuing a class-action lawsuit on behalf of affected fans, called the offer insufficient. "The NFL and its lawyers need to come clean with the fans as to their right to full compensation and sit down with us to fairly resolve this matter," he said.

I think NFL has to be embarrassed that the lasting impression of SB XLV is the seating screw-up and not the game.

I'm a little unclear -- does the new offer also still include a ticket to a future Super Bowl and airfare/hotel?

The NFL should offer to put Jerry Jones in stocks in the public square and allow "The Disaffected 400" to pelt him with rocks and garbage. Better yet, force Jones to undergo a reversal of all his plastic surgery procedures.
