Is it because our socks are red? I go to India for 24 hours and Europe win the Ryder Cup and the Red Sox buy Liverpool FC. These things come in threes... what next?!

Don't let your local NHL club play an exhibition game in Russia. The St. Petersburg team did nothing but go after the knees of the Hurricanes the other day. Maurice ended up benching Staal because of how often they were going at his knees.

Pretty sure Rice welcomes that addition to the team.

A little hangover from '72, perhaps?

Yeah, I blame Bobby Clarke not St Petersburg.

Comment from elsewhere:
This is all part of the Vikings secret plan to rebuild the 1998 NFC Pro Bowl team.

Today is one of those days that make it really fun to be a Boston sports fan. Moss to the Vikings for a #3, Henry bidding to buy Liverpool's club, Bruins ready to start the NHL season, and the Celtics playing their first preseason game tonight. I'm not trying to brag, it's just that Boston is one hell of a sports town. There's always something going on.

Oh yeah? If you're not trying to brag, why did you repeat yourself?

Doc Halladay has a no-hitter through 7 innings.

Good point, smithnyiu. And sorry about the Sidewinders, too (I guess I should refer to them as the Aces now)

p.s. I know you're upset, but you don't have to shrink the font for all of us

What happens when you mix "cheeky" with "awesome"?

You get this goal.

Roy Halladay has no-hit the Reds.

I'm trying to fix the font.

Did that do it?

It did.
