NFL Sunday Ticket Will Be Available Online: The NFL Sunday Ticket package, long available only on DirecTV, can be bought online next month for $350. DirecTV, which pays the NFL $1 billion annually for the package, agreed to provide web subscriptions when the deal was renewed last year.

Good. This business of going exclusively with DirecTV always annoyed me. That being said, I've found now that I actually like the NFL RedZone channel a LOT when my own team isn't playing.

YES! YES YES YES!!!!

Not, I think, that I'm gonna pony up $350...but it IS tempting...

This made me very happy until I read that it costs $350.

Very tempting, indeed. Watching football's about the only reason I pay for cable anymore. Not sure the $350 will make up for the costs savings, but it sure would be fun being snooty and bragging out my lack of cable.

Most men don't brag when it comes to "lack of cable"...

Sweet mother of God - This is going to be great in a couple years when it's $50.

$350? No, I don't think I need to be first, thanks.

Even when my team is playing, I kind of prefer RedZone. I have less and less patience for the awful announcers and ads these days. It's so easy to flip it on at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and the next thing you know the Sunday night game is about to start. The fact that this happens to be regularly makes me think other people are probably going to like this channel as much as I do which makes me a little concerned that they might kill it. It's my only option with Verizon.

You won't be able to watch anything on Sunday Ticket that you can get on a cable channel (i.e., no Sunday or Monday night football or local teams).

Then this is just about the biggest ripoff imaginable.

It really depends on your market. In DC, we don't get to watch many of the Sunday games because of the Redskins and Ravens. Some Sundays are worse than others and you might get only two Sunday afternoon games. If there is a great Sunday afternoon game, chances are it won't be showing here. Plus, if you happen to not be a fan of either of the local teams, you rarely get to see your favorite team.

After purchasing the NFL Sunday Ticket, does one get a name plate that says Dumbass?

I wish I could get NFL Redzone. Looks awesome.
