2 Players, 25 Countries, 1 Game: In the new documentary Pelada, American collegiate soccer players Luke Boughen and Gwendolyn Oxenham took a road trip to 25 countries playing pickup games in places that included Tehran, Iran; a Nairobi slum; and a prison. Pelada is a Brazilian term for "bare bones" street soccer. "[S]occer has been sort of their passport to a whole different experience which isn't just about soccer," said cinematographer Rebekah Fergusson.

This looks really cool. Hoping I get a chance to see it!

A while back I found a website listing where you could find pick up games in any country in the world. It had a kind of feral, dreadlocked charm to it.

I'll keep looking, as I listed my local Sunday afternoon pick up game on it.
