I once had to sit through an infomercial for Snuggies, because I was under a normal blanket and couldn't get my arms free to find the remote.

Bullshit...you were reaching around desperately for your telephone. It's a vicious cycle, if you were in a Snuggie, you'd be able to more efficiently order a doggie Snuggie.

Water Consumption in Edmonton during the Olympic hockey gold medal game.

I came in here to post this very article.

I'm not surprised when they say that almost 80% of Canada watched some part of that game. Even friends of mine who have NO cable and NEVER follow sports, were watching the game on the CTV internet feed.

I shudder to think of the state of this nation if Team Canada had lost that game...

Player Ratings: Wigan Athletic 1-0 Liverpool

Most of the Reds got 4s but I thought that was being generous. I don't remember a worse effort in years with terrible passing and no aggression up top. Acquilani tried to make a difference after coming on but he's not the guy to do it by himself, at least not yet.

Impressive streak. Every victory has been by 10+ points. I suppose it also helps to have reportedly the 2 best players in the game on the same team.

Sports Illustrated celebrates their new winning streak with a picture essay of some of the most revered sports streaks.

I found it amusing that they chose a picture of the amazing Diana Taurasi from the streak they just broke, but otherwise a nice little slide show of stuff that you probably already know.
