I can't believe how exciting Round 2 of the Australian Open has been. Blake/Del Potro and Henin/Dementieva made me late for work this morning.

Tim Lincecum (The Freak ) is asking for 13 million . His arbitration hearing is coming up against the SF Giants in February.

Back to back Cy Young awards? It's going to be hard to argue against that amount.

After last night's very tasty Carling Cup semi-final, Gary Neville might be in trouble for flipping Tevez the bird.

While the Giants are offering 8 million for the 2009 Cy Young winner, I'm pretty sure that in his arbitration hearing in February, they'll meet somewhere down the middle.

Actually, if they let an arbitrator make the decision, he has to chose one or the other. He cannot produce a compromised result.

However, the team and the player can come to their own agreement outside of the arbitration.

Don't forget he's only 25, also. He hasn't even hit his prime yet...

This website is delightful. Liverpool fans may not enjoy it, however.

If I were Lincecum, I would be willing to let the arbitrator decide (the $13MM seems to be around the right level for someone with his talent level and trophy case, notwithstanding the fact that this would be a record-breaking award), unless SF is going to offer to buy out his arb years at something like $45-50MM/3 years or maybe lock him up longer at $80MM/5 years or something.

She'll never hear the end of it.

And then she's going to sit on that bobsled. Those things don't have seat warmers, do they?

I am confident she'll be able to put it behind her.

After such a disaster, I predict that pair will split up.

If she was in front, it wouldn't have been as big an issue. As it stands, she was bringing up the rear.

Here 'til Tuesday, folks. Tip your waitress
