From the article: Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, is best known for her reality show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, which ran for two seasons on MTV. The bisexual dating show features straight men and lesbians vying for Tequila's affections.

Probably not the best choice for a girlfriend. I wonder if Merriman and Dirk Nowitzki used the same dating service.

Exactly. Who's stupider? Tila Tequila? Or the guy dating her?

Norv Turner has to be loving this, days before the start of the regular season.

Who's stupider? The answer to that depends on perspective, and, whether or not my 7th grade grammar teacher is involved.

yeah..but so what..he "still loves her"...

Before we get ahead of ourselves with Merriman's legal situation, it's being reported that Tila Tequila was drunk and according to witnesses, Merriman was actually trying to stop Tila from driving drunk. According to Merriman's attorney, Todd Macaluso, "{Merriman} did everything in his power to ensure her safety. He hopes she comes forth and tells the truth"

I'd bet that almost every story that starts at 3:45 AM has two sides to it.

I didn't realize that there was only one side of a story after 12am.

when one person is cuffed and taken in, it makes you wonder how many sides to the story there are

There's usually 2 sides to a story and then the truth. From my understanding, anytime a domestic violence 911 call is made, the man in question is usually placed under arrest or if the woman decides to not press any charges, the suspect is told to leave the premises by the officers on the scene.

Yeah, but isn't it more fun to speculate and pass judgment before the facts are in? I find that the truth only muddies my clarity when it comes to celebrity jurisprudence.

Not to take anything said here personally, but yes, quite often there is only one "side" to the story.

When the facts back up what the accuser is saying, and the accused doesn't offer up a different story, we only have the one side. Here, the accused has offered that second side.

Yes, the man is almost always either arrested, or at least taken in for questioning, thus removing him from the scene.

This girl is a wack job just google her to find out the scoop. Probably a lot of fun for a date but not serious relationship material.

Regardless of whether someone is trying to excercise bad judgement or not, I am pretty sure choking them is illegal. I know that when my friends want to leave my house choking them is not a good way to keep the party going. Why didn't he just take her keys away or block her entrance to the car, or call the police. I have seen this guy and he looks like he could have taken her keys or just planted his big but on her car door.

There is two sides to every story but one of them ususally smells. So when a 6'4" 265 pound NFL linebacker with a history of steroid abuse resorts to choking a girl to prevent her from driving drunk (I see from the photos that he was also drinking) I think his judgement is certainly suspect. Obviously the police had good enough reason to believe her side of the story and arrest him.

I can only recall Merriman getting suspended the one time in 2006 for 4 games for steroids but I didn't hear anything about him having a "history of steriod abuse". That's news to me.

I also believe that he was drinking water the night this occurred. If that's the case then there's no reason to suspect his judgement other than he was trying to not allow his friend to drive drunk.

Once again you trot out an argument against something no one is really contesting, unless you honestly believe Merriman got caught the only time he ever did steroids. And then we've got some logical mess about how he's innocent as a newborn babe because you "believe" he was drinking water. Know who else liked his water? Hitler.

And once again, you read too much into something that I wrote. I'm not arguing with anyone since I can only recall Merriman getting suspended in 2006 but other than that, I never heard anything else concerning Merriman and steriods so I don't see how that would be classified as a "history of steriod abuse" which is what was written.

Know who else liked his water? Hitler

So...you saying that Merriman and Hitler are one in the same? The bastard!! All it took was H2O to bring them together?
