Why the Persecution Without the Prosecution: All my Hero's are now become Ghost
I have been a fan of baseball as long as I can remember. From playing as a kid to catching redbird fever in 1981 in st. louis. I have watched the Keith Hernandez and everyone else in baseball cocaine incedent of the 80's. Everyone in time seam to let that blow over, I guess maybe when everyone else is doing it you forget how bad it was. Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire have never tested positive for anything. Why this shadow of doubt? Were these guys punch and judy hitters before they bulked up. I think Mcguire hit 49 as a rookie. Barry bonds one of the best all around ball players of all time. I guess he was never a 40-40 guy. Lets just throw a theory out here. Maybe at 37 bonds realized he wasnt gone be stealing forty a year anymore maybe the best thing he could do was work the weights the supplements the nutritionist and get big. No one seams to doubt nfl linemen ballooning to 380 and ripped but no accusations there. Just when it challenges the old guard, Babe Ruth, Maris, Aaron. oh these great players of their time. No doubt about it. But I dont here about an astress next to ruth played when starting pitching went 15 innings and threw 50 mph heat toward end of game. What is right field at Yankee Stadium 230'. If bonds played his whole career there he passed ruth about 7 years ago. So lets get real and lets let the stars shine and remember them for the great summers past when we were all the biggest fans of mcGuire and Sosa. Bonds maybe you dont like him maybe you do but a true fan gives him his deserved spot in any record book or hall of fame. Without them baseball would still be realing from the strike and cancelled season . Thanks for bringing us back boys. Big Mac in the hall 1rst vote in my book but im not caught up in what we think only what we know. With Bonds he deserves to go out with the record like it or not.
