Super Bowl Link Dump! : Come on in, make yourself comfortable, and bet the house on the G-Men!

But wait, there's more. If only they were allowed to spike the ball in college, maybe things like this wouldn't happen in the pros. And what are the chances of getting a "Link Dump" category? Just sayin'.

How does Carl not have a spin-off show yet? He's the rare supporting character who doesn't get old in longer formats. "Who carved 'The moon rules # 1' on the side of my car with a key?"

It's from last year -- this year's show airs Saturday -- but here's the transcript from Bill Littlefield's annual Superbowl Haiku segment on "Only a Game".

Carl's been featured in the first two episodes of season 5. Without the AT.

We're getting it live on the BBC this year apparently.

I can't think of a better place to be than in front of the TV on a sunny summer's Monday morning.

Tempt Destiny. So basically this artist, Manuel Morales, created billboards in support of the Giants before their appearances in Super Bowls XXI and XXV, both of which they won. However, when he offered to create a third billboard should the Giants return to the Super Bowl, they said no thanks. In 2000 Morales creates this Tempt Destiny thing where fans can vote to have a billboard made for any team (only catch is the team must make it to the Super Bowl in order for the billboard to be made). Giants fans lost the 2000 season vote, and the team lost the Super Bowl. Well, this year the Giants happened to win the vote and the billboard went up today. It was delayed a bit, thanks to some Patriots fans at Mammoth Media in Massachusetts, where the vinyl was made. Aside from the packaging they also wrote "Made in New England, Go Pats!" on the back.

Mods! I posted a Super Bowl Economy link on the front page. Should it have gone in here? If so, can it be moved? Thanks. - Knincha

I think your post is just fine on the front page Mr Jackson. Linkdumps are for stuff we don't feel are strong enough to put out front. And Paris Hilton manga.

If I thought you people really understood Japanese, I'd have made it a FPP. I still think it was spot-on about the downturn in the economy and last year's Stanley Cup.

Yo! The post I made about the coach at IUPUI going barefoot for charity? I posted it over at MetaFilter and it was featured in the Metafilter podcast today. Matt also mentions how much he likes SportsFilter, He said it is, "mostly smart people talking about sports" That's us in a nutshell!

posted by geekyguy at 05:54 PM on February 01, 2008

So are most of us smart, or are we all mostly smart?

OK Score 74342 and still counting because I just started the new level 33 terribly addicting!

I assumed the "mostly smart people" referred to my unreasonably high contribution percentage.
