Happy Easter, everyone!: I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter. If you have kids, good luck with the sugar high.

Kids? I plan to eat about six boxes of Peeps myself (I'm dying to try the microwave thing.) Hoppy Festivus, folks.

And a Happy Easter to you, Sir! Forrestv, what is the "microwave thing"? Myself, I like to let the peeps get really stale, then eat them, nice and chewy! Wingnut, know what you mean about the sugar buzz! I am glad my son has out grown the Easter basket of candy. Just a little chocolate bunny for him now.

The microwave thing is what happens when you put any marshmallow thing into a microwave (and turn it on, of course): it swells up and then melts down. Suggestion: have a paper plate underneath it so you can just chuck it afterwards -- you won't want to clean it up.

Ha. Chocolate bunny. I went in to my parents' bedroom where all the kids had gathered to watch tv and compare candy highs. I asked my son if he wants some ham. He turns around and there's a chocolate bunny head hanging out of his mouth and a wild look on his face and mumbles,
"NO DAD!" I slowly backed out of the room.

Great image, wingnut. I love it.

Easter, Valentine's Day, and Halloween are bad times for me, as I have to avoid sugar. My kid is old enough to be pretty much past the candy thing. In any case, he's way too big to wrestle for a chocolate bunny. Trying to get chocolate away from my wife is equally hazardous. Happy Easter, everyone.

Thanks for the explanation, LBB. I have done that with a Three Muskateers bar but never with the peeps. Will have to give it a try. And yes, definitely use a paper plate!
