Sweet. What kind of mileage does that thing get? It guzzles some serious gas when I'm cookin', but it's friggin' awesome!!! grunt, grunt!

My dad wanted to go to the Tiger's game at Wrigley Field but....other things came up. So we got him a shirt instead.

grum, I guess you really are a chip off the old block!

grum, I guess you really are a chip off the old block! My dad was flipping through my copy of the book and liked the historical section (how the game was played in each decade). So I figured he'd enjoy the book and picked him up a copy for himself. The softcover version is MUCH better than the hardcover version I own. Off off topic: Can we get a clean-up in aisle 7102?

Happy Father's Day to all the great dad's of Spofi!

Thanks everyone. Although it's not Fathers Day down here, and I'm about 3,000 miles away from my kids (on a work trip), I appreciate the sentiment.

My family gave me the biography of a noted Knicks fan. They also didn't grumble a bit when I left baseball on as background "music" for everything me did today.

I am not yet a father, but if I ever attain that position, I will be pissed if interleague play continues to be scheduled for today. Dad's not a baseball fan, although he did buy a glove and many baseballs to play catch with me for hours and hours and hours when I was in little league. Looking back, and knowing now how little baseball interests him, I can't believe he did that. Wow.

I was at home taking care of the puking Mrs. Amateur and entertaining the two Amateur angels. Happy Father's Day to me!

Dad is a Packers fan so I got him one of these: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Not that he can use it or anything, I just thought it looked cool. (Plus, he thought it was cool).

Speaking of the Packers (well, not really) did anyone wonder about those red, white and blue cheeseheads the U.S. fans were shown wearing during the Italy match? Were they made especially for the World Cup? Were they spray-painted cheeseheads bought in bulk during the offseason???

Good question.

I only saw a group of three people wearing them. Were there more?

I can't say for sure, but they made an impression on me when I saw them...

Yeah, you couldn't help but notice those bad boys. I slowed it down and zoomed in to check 'em out, and "up close" (sort of) they had the look of a spray paint job. Neat concept, though.
