Fantasy Baseball Owners: Your vote matters today. There's a potential trade that is generating a lot of interest and your opinion is needed as part of the league. I believe the deadline is tonight, but I am not certain... Per Rev, please post your vote on the Yahoo board to be counted openly.
hey fellas, I am sorry for the double post. I put this on the ongoing Fantasy Baseball thread and it got the boot when SF posted. It's kind of time sensitive info, so a FPP lockerroom post seemed appropriate.

jbou, the only one that seems to be whining is you. And using derogatory phrases to describe someone else is truly the pathetic part of this whole thing. If I had a way of dropping out of the football league that you are also the commissioner of, I would. However, since Yahoo! won't let me drop out after the draft is completed I guess I'm stuck. Therefore, I will stick it out for the season.

oh goody goody, I'm so glad you'll play the fantasy football league. Next time you take the five minutes it takes to setup a fantasy league and then you'll not have any problems. Two times I had problems with unbalanced trades, I vetoed one, and stated my opinion about the other. After hearing out why the Bernie for Delgado trade was fair(that worked out great), and the Halliday mess was worked out the trades went through, the only reason I had a problem with the trades was I wanted to see the league have some competitive balance. Jeresy doesn't like having to defend her unbalanced trades, and gets very defensive, and acts like a whiny child. I put through a few trades quickly I figured people would be happy, and yes I could have been more consistant, I'm human I made a mistake. This last trade threatened her chance at winning the league so she whined to all of you to block the trade, and it worked. I've been fair, and I've listened to what all of you have to say, but I'm getting sick of jeresy and her whining so I said what I said, maybe I was a bit harsh with my language, but when grown folks act like little kids because they don't get their way it irks me a bit.

I wonder if we'd have the same problem if our soccer leagues only allowed each real-life player to be owned by one fantasy team per league, and fantasy managers would have to trade with each other to do this. I don't think I'd like that format, regardless of if it made us all snippy or not. I like the free-form approach, and our crazy but affable lot. Wait 'til we get started: We're running playing in two SpoFi EPL leagues at once!

Not knowing nothing from nothing about your league, but I am always surprised when there are major disputes that result in overturned trades and such. I've been commisar for a 11 team league (which includes a few spofites) for the last two years (this year with a co-commisar), and I've yet to veto a trade, nor have there been instances where owners have called for such an action. Not to say that there haven't been trades which I thought someone clearly had the upper hand, but we all assume that we are adults and can fend for ourselves. It's too late for this season, but I recommend taking a laissez faire policy where the only vetoes trades are ones involving players that are injured/ineligible/sent down without the awareness on the receiver's part. This way, there are no charges of favoritism, nor will there be calls to overturn a transaction. Perhaps we ought to have a separate thread to talk about what has worked regarding league set-up, rules, and general fantasy policy.
