Woops. Forgot to mention that Mossy accomplished this week the best all-time weekly score with 207.90. Congrats. Also, it looks like SF really does have an insurmountable lead now. FB has to make up a 141-point deficit with 3 games left. That means he has to best SF by 47 pts every week. He did top SF by 76 pts this week, but that was over two games, which splits to a per-game average of 38 pts. So close but yet so far. Like Johnny Mathis sings, it's looking like "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late."

Mossy has led the league in points two weeks in a row and seems to have crushed me in the battle of three-week latecomers. In other soccer fantasy leagues... FB: Sorry about that - it was the best lyrics page I could find. I would've preferred it to come blasting out of your speakers in full audio glory, but alas ...

Hey pfuller. Don't take offense but ... ... Take your MLS post somewhere else! No seriously, why not give it full prominence by posting it as another Locker Room thread? Don't let the NFL and baseball take over! And, oh yeah ... I'm number FIVE! *sticks hand up with all five fingers extended*

EPL Fantasy League trophy?

Very funny...

IN-surmountable.... So how many Champion's League and UEFA spots do we have? Who is getting relegated?

posted by StarFucker at 01:43 PM on April 23, 2003

why not give it full prominence by posting it as another Locker Room thread? My bad, I saw you were doing the EPL and thought I would just add the MLS to this instead of two consecutive soccer fantasy league posts. If no one else wants it, I don't mind making the MLS league posts for at least a few weeks, but I will be AWOL for the month of June.

I might remind you my dear starfucker, that although worldcup2002 seems like a very nice chap, his predictions are shit.

SF: Can you get the t-shirt on that trophy a little wetter?

In the MLS league...who is hardtimesinwestpho? The reason you aren't getting any points is because you only have 9 players!

posted by StarFucker at 10:33 AM on April 24, 2003

ooops...thanks SF!

What the eck are you doing, eckeric? Well, at least you didn't call your team "Worse than yours". Hey wait a minute ...

BABG finally has his team in order as well... And i don't know who trendel is, but that guy hasn't picked a single player for his team...

Hey you lazy bastards... I finally uploaded a picture of myself on one of my sites... But i'm not putting it up till the rest of you promise to. I think we should have a thread somewhere with all our pics or something... Whaddya think?

Better watch out for trox, he's the only one of the top seven (I didn't check everyone) who has Owen, and the little lad has scored four!

posted by worldcup2002 at 10:52 AM on April 26, 2003

It was a piss poor day for Starfucker, I am happy to relate. He had Maccarone for fucks sake! Came on run around ineffectually for 5 minutes, got booked. Hah! And Smith scored!

posted by Fat Buddha at 03:52 PM on April 26, 2003

I knew it would happen. Everytime I drop a player, he goes ahead and scores. Dunn did it to me today. Well, at least Blackburn beat Leeds. Hoo-hah!

posted by worldcup2002 at 07:26 PM on April 26, 2003

Bloody hell. Man U have gone and beaten Spurs 2-0. The only bright spots: I had both goalscorers, Scholes (matchwinner) and Van Nistelhorse.

posted by worldcup2002 at 12:33 PM on April 27, 2003

Definitely a mixed bag of a weekend for me. I had Scholes and Ruud as well--which piled ups some points for me (50 some points from Owen alone). But Arsenal basically gave away the league (hence my hangover).
