Wembley: Football Association offered £800m to sell national football stadium: Are Jaguars moving to London? Even if the Jags don't come, the English national team would no longer call Wembley home, so Woy isn't in favor.

The Disgrace of Minor League Baseball: (W)hy do minor league basketball and hockey players get a better deal than minor league baseball players, despite those leagues’ parent clubs bringing in less money overall? It’s not because basketball and hockey owners are less interested in maximizing profits at all costs—many baseball owners have a stake in another pro team, and even if the people running the NBA, NHL, and MLB aren’t literally the same people, they all went to the same business schools and hang out at the same golf courses. No, it’s about power and leverage.

Arsene Wenger is Leaving Arsenal: Arsene Wenger has announced his departure from Arsenal after 22 years at the helm of the club. Arsenal's accomplishments under Wenger include winning the double twice, winning the Premiership in 2003-04 without losing a single game, taking the FA Cup three more times and reaching the Champions League final. But the club finished out of the top four last season for the first time in that span and is currently sixth with 5 games left.

College Football Modifies Kickoffs for Player Safety: The NCAA has modified kickoffs in college football: Any player can make a fair catch inside the 25 yard line for the ball to be ruled a touchback, just like when a player takes a knee in the end zone. Former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano, who has for years crusaded to eliminate kickoffs, would like to replace them with the scoring team getting the ball on its 30 yard line in a fourth-and-15 situation. They could go for it or punt.

Humboldt gathers, and mourns, through a long and tragic night: Word spread fast — down the highway, across the prairie, into the farm community of Humboldt, where people huddled with phones and friends. ...With that word came numbing horror: Fourteen people on a bus carrying their beloved Humboldt Broncos, dead. They were en route to a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoff game late Friday afternoon when their bus collided with a semi at a junction on Highway 35.

Sedin twins play their last home game before retirement; combine to score twice in a storybook finish: Being from Vancouver it's difficult to have perspective, but as Henrik and Daniel Sedin retire there is talk that these are two generational players; the best to have ever played for Vancouver. Certainly they have been the best pair of players for the Canucks, truly a combined value that is more than the sum of their parts. And the way they finished out their last home game of the season was virtually scripted. A typical magic goal of intricate passing in the second period, and a long possession power play goal to win the game in overtime. Unassuming and unlikely stars for one team in their 18-year careers, blighted only by the lack of a championship (though they came within one game in 2011)
