Doctors Feared Zach Miller Would Lose His Leg: Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller suffered a dislocated knee in Sunday's game that also tore a torn popliteal artery, an injury that led doctors to fear his leg might need to be amputated. Miller underwent surgery Monday to stabilize the artery. Surgeons praised Bears team doctor Mark Bowen for quickly identifying the vascular problem. Head coach John Fox said Miller was in good spirits and "pretty much wanted his touchdown back."

FoxSports "pivot to video" decision has cost them almost 90% of their audience.:
SI’s Richard Deitsch reports that traffic dropped an astounding 88% since the “pivot to video.” Their traffic has gone from over 143 million in a monthly period to just under 17 million.

Megan Rapinoe: 'Fifa Doesn't Care About Women's Football': Three women were nominated as Fifa's best female footballer this year: American Carli Lloyd, Dutch midfielder Lieke Martens and Deyna Castellanos. Castellanos is an 18-year-old Venezuelan who plays at Florida State University. She's a rising talent, but she's never played as a pro nor appeared in a game for her country above the U-17 level. Steve Jobs' Widow Buys Big Stake in Wizards, Capitals: Laurene Jobs Powell, a philanthropist and widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, has acquired a 20 percent stake in the company that owns the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals. Ted Leonsis continues as chief executive and largest stakeholder, but Jobs owns the second-largest share and becomes one of four women in NBA ownership groups alongside Jeanie Buss (Lakers), Ann Walton Kroenke (Nuggets) and Gail Miller (Jazz). The deal requires NBA and NHL approval.
