Sebastian Vettel becomes youngest driver to win four F1 World Championships: He only needed to finish fifth in India to become champion. Even if Vettel didn't finish, Alonso had to finish in the top two to keep even a mathematical chance alive. Alonso ultimately finished 11th, while Vettel won both race and title. Red Bull also won the Constructors title.

Vettel joins such illustrious company as Juan Manuel Fangio, Alain Prost, and Michael Schumacher. Vettel has achieved this in four straight seasons. The last non Vettel champion was Jenson Button in 2009! And people say F1 is boring...

Aston Martin driver Allan Simonsen killed.: The driver crashed just nine minutes into the 24 hour race, crashing heavily and causing an almost hour long safety car to repair the barrier. Allan was treated at the scene, and then transferred to the medical center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Outlook Poor for Comatose Schumacher

Honestly, if it was ANY other driver from my almost 30 years of following the sport, I'd probably be very upset, concerned, and feel something. He was skiing in an area he'd been explicitly warned not to very shortly before his accident, and given how he acted in his professional life... I feel very bad for his wife and kids. My wife and kids went through something similar with me in 2010. But the man himself? I nothing him.

Sebastian Vettel becomes youngest driver to win four F1 World Championships

There's been some weird traction stuff in corners. Like when there was the blown diffuser, at Singapore there was footage of all the cars and Vettel's sounded weird, the rest, including Webber, sounded normal.

I don't think they're cheating. Newey has always been an amazing designer, and building a car that can get pole is half the battle won, and the RBR car is immense in that regard.

Vettel is a great driver when it goes his way. I'm still suspect of how he'll cope in a car which is less than optimal. I'd like to see how he'd have handled this years Ferrari.

Next year will see the cat among the pigeons when the engine rules change.

Wow! That's really cool. Nice work Grum. For reasons unknown I've always been fascinated by baseball, but especially the late 20's period. (Ironically I've not watched a single game this year.)

Marion Batoli Wins First Wimbledon Title

Seen a lot of stuff about her being ugly, not a looker etc... I'd never seen her so went and looked her up.

Sure she's not the most beautiful tennis player ever, but she's on a par with Steffi Graf and nobody ever said shit like that about her.

And who gives a shit anyway, she's a professional tennis player.

Once again gender bullshit. Doubt anyone tweeted about Murray not being much of a looker.

There's been some truly vile shit posted on Twitter after she won. Won't even repeat it, but it's absolutely fucking shameful.

Aston Martin driver Allan Simonsen killed.

Never seen so many problems with barriers in the 30 years I've been a racing fan. Safety car was out for a total of 6 hours! And a lot of that was so barriers could be repaired. Clearly something went very badly wrong this year as there was at least 3 crashes that required barrier repairs.

Was a bad Le Mans this year. Battle at the front wasn't especially exciting, the Simonsen accident put a dark cloud over the event, and the endless safety cars...

And yes you are correct. Large part of the circuit is made up of public roads.
