Outside looking in

I am just glad that Pete Rose was left off the list, the guy cut a deal to save his skin and stop the gamblimg on baseball investigation, and then disengenously goes in with Pony and mastercard to promote his book and squeeze his way into the hall. More than that, the guy signed anything you could write on with a sharpie, and then (OOPS) forgot to pay tax on it, he plead guilty to criminal tax evasion. It hasn't changed much either. If you want to meet Pete, your best shot is to go to the Turf Club at Santa Anita Racetrack, just wait until he gets a couple of drinks down, and he might sign a losing bet ticket, he did for a friend of mine.

Now security is taking fans brown paper bags away from them in Detriot so fans can't protest the games by being unknown fans.

Well at least, security didnt threaten to arrest them. Last year I witnessed two of the The Parking Lot Attendant's (thugs)..errr security at Dodger Stadium threaten to arrest two teenagers, who did the old paper bag over the head, if they didnt hand them over. The kids complied, so I didnt see if security would actually follow through on the treat. The kids said security had informed them that it was a public safety issue. I have a feeling this was a result of the $2 Tuesdays promo riot-fiasco.

Bargain or bust

Nomar is No More. But the Chowderheads will over pay since they cleared out Renteria. The only thing Bean town has to worry about is the Parking Lot attendent in LA, trying to corner the market on short stops and re-create Sox-west with the fast-talking Mr. Little. As for me, I look forward to buying 1/2 price Dodger tickets from pissed off season ticket holders.
