Pat Riley - New Heat Coach

I don't get it. I am guessing that Shaq requested that Van Gundy step down or something like that. Has anyone watched this team play this year? Gary Payton is so wshed up its almost disgusting watching him play. Didn't the Heat watch Payton when he played for the Lakers? Payton was a great player, but cannot defend like he used to and for some reason can't shoot anymore. As for Antoine Walker, the man looks lost out there, whether Shaq is in the line up or not. He too has lost his shooting touch and confindence and I think its a matter of not being confortable. I really think Antoine is a good player, however can only exist on teams that he can be the #1 or #2 guy. Which means that the teams he plays on will not be very good. I think the Heat made a major mistake this off season by getting rid of Butler and Odom. How will Riley make that big of a difference? Not saying he isn't a great coach, however he had incredible players with the Lakers. Just look at Phil Jackson and the Lakers. I just think NBA coaching is highly overrated. Just look at Phil in LA and Larry in NY. Heat have more talent than the Knicks or Lakers, but its not going to matter.

Lions fire Steve Mariucci.

It all starts with the FORDS' and ends with the FORDS'. It is obvious that they are incompotent in managing a professional franchise. They continuously hire the wrong GM's and coaches, who in turn draft the wrong players. I am begging the Ford's to sell the team to someone who actually knows a little bit about talent/coaching/managment. Did I mention that the reason Barry Sanders quit was the another incompotent coach (Bobby Ross) who also ruined the end of Herman Moore's career. The Lions will always be a joke as long as the ownership remains. It's just too bad that the people of Detroit don't care about their football team as much as they care about their hockey and basketball teams. Maybe because the Lions have never had any success. Red Wing/Pistons' fans would never allow such piss poor performance their managment.

Eagles Give T.O. a Season-Ending Timeout

I can't wait until TO has to suit up and play his former teammates. My prediction is either TO will come up with an injury and won't play or the Eagles rip his head off. The guy is a beaatch!

Five men detained, questioned for praying at NY Giants game

There is no need to pray at a football game, unless of course someone has died or been injured. So Muslims' pray 5 times a day, so what? A football game is around 4 hours long that leaves them 20 more hours to get the rest of their "required" prayer in somewhere else. Yes, this is a free country and you should be able to pray where you want, however these men know exactly what they were doing by causing a seen at the game. It's common sense and there is a time and place for everything, unfortunatetly based on the events going on in the world today praying at a football game is not one of them.
