Sports Bio

I'm a card carrying member of the Raider Nation. Born and raised to be a St. Louis Cardinals' fan as well. However, my favorite sport to watch is NHL.

Minor league team challenges the Royals: Talk about a back hand slap across the face. If I'm the Royals, I accept and tack this article to the club house wall. What a great motivator. Ofcourse, they will probably lose the bet, but still!

Most Valuable Players Wanted More Valuable Paycheck: Four MVPs were missing during last night's Super Bowl pre-game ceremony: the late Harvey Martin, an Australia-vacationing Jake Scott, and quarterbacks Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana, both of whom reportedly wanted more money.

Reardon arrested: for robbing a jewelry store. The lesson here is if you rob a jewelry store, don't stop at the Denney's down the street for lunch!

Ricky Williams Tests Positive for Fourth Time

The bottom line here is it's against the NFL rules. He must abide by the rules if he wishes to play in the league. I understand his love of pot. I smoked it for 20 years. I've been stoned more than our U.S. embassies! But when my company started making us submit to drug tests, I had to stop because I wanted to keep my job. If he wants to keep his job, HE MUST STOP!!

Most Valuable Players Wanted More Valuable Paycheck

The only reason I posted this "front page post" was because I knew it would be a highly debated topic like it has become.

Sorry for the error. Like I said, I'm sneaking a peek so no time for spell checks!

Most Valuable Players Wanted More Valuable Paycheck

Yeah, I saw what Big D wrote, and the revised version is a lot better, so congratulations to the editor. Sorry I'm not a proffesional writer like all of you. I'm just a lowly "lab rat" at a cement plant who likes to sneak a peek at Sportsfilter when I can and throw in my two cents worth sometimes. So thanks editor for making Amateurs experience much more enjoyable!

Most Valuable Players Wanted More Valuable Paycheck

The original post is NOT what I said. I don't know how it got changed. I just posted this link because I was tired, like other posters, of multimillionaire athletes demanding more money for appearances and autos and etc. Yes, they would be making more money for the league, but the league sure made them a lot of money as well.

Taylor spits on player

Wow! Throwing the race card down so early in the game. I don't think this is a racial issue. It's a generation issue. These kids who become pro athletes are made millionaires overnight and think they can get away with anything.

Vince Young leads Texas to 41-38 win over USC

After the OSU/ Irish game, a lot of the "experts" were saying Texas was lucky they didn't have to play OSU again. Not hearing them say that today. Although, what a matchup of QBs that would be!

Outside looking in

Ever noticed the two guys with the most hits (Rose and Cobb) were also two of the biggest assholes? Just something I often ponder!

Is sport worth risking your life for?

In my opinion, the bottom line here is he should be able to continue playing if he wants and his doctors clear him. As long as he doesn't pose a health threat to anyone else, how can we stop him? I don't believe the other teams will take it easy on him for long, especially after he delivers a few hard checks to them.

I'm a lifelong Cards fan so back to their front. Mulder has been terrible with day games this year but I do agree with you mayerkyl, he will show his good stuff today. GO CARDS!!

Red Sox

It was the most costly error in baseball, how is it supposed to just go out the window? The media loves to replay big errors. You still see from time to time the ball bouncing off Canseco's head for a homerun. Only a moron would believe that Buckner's error will EVER be forgotten.
