Off-duty police officer shoots Chargers LB Foley

this is Labor Weekend, the off duty was probably hoping a squad car would respond, but maybe they were all looking for cigarette smokers down at the beach. SDPD is over worked and under staffed, because of the Cities financial problems. The off duty stuck with him, which he should have, in case there was an accident. Part of Foley's punishment should be to watch a full season of Cops, to learn how to behave during the pinch.

Official was wrong

Do the Colts have a stadium deal in the works? Here in San Diego Marty S had a whole pocket full of get out of jail free cards, I mean he won every challenge he made, and some Steeler fans will remember a call in that game when the Charger punt returner muffed the catch and the refs threw a late flag, calling inside the zone, which was not true. But then SD was playing for a stadium, which non-sports type realize means sky boxes for corrupt lobbyists to ply their trade. So when you think FIX, think big.

Martz dismissed by the Rams

Rams fans want to trade a Superbowl winning coach, for the other kind? How about Marty S., it amazes me that Martz and Tice are out of a job, and Marty is still here. Did anyone notice that Tuna let Terry Glenn play after he was arrested Friday for drunkeness, hanging it out behind a fast food store in Dallas. YOu think you've got troubles. The Rams won last night, the team that Mike built.

Owens Says He Felt 'Used' by Eagles

anyone who thinks Keyshawn is a prize missed the shoutout with Bledsoe on the sidelines this year. (maybe Parcells knows how to keep these things from getting out of hand, maybe Reid doesn't?) Who forgets that Gruden and the BUCS did a TO on Keyshawn, but then I never saw TO blasting Reid on the sideline during a game? And Keyshawn is just a possession receiver. TO is the problem, the team gets rid of TO, and the team falls apart, end of story.

Owens Says He Felt 'Used' by Eagles

Andy Reid is a Holmgren clone, and Mike could never get along with Brett Favre, who wanted to improvise. Owens on the other hand is an incredibly disciplined receiver, he is totally fit, and he runs his routes. Leaving the 49er's was the best thing he could do, especially for a team that would have to carry his salary cap through a rebuilding year. He adds some spark to the game, and wherever he goes he wants to win. I think the Eagles have a corporate mentality, which is the enemy of the game. They just want to be a good team and please their fans, (and sell tickets). It's ironic that the team fell apart after they suspended him.

New LA teams

don't be surprised if one of the teams is the Chargers. The Spanos people want a new stadium, and the City of San Diego is broke.

NFL to return to LA...sometime...somewhere...somehow...

San Diego already tried, and the Spanos want a new stadium, badly, but the City is bankrupt. I love the Chargers, wherever they play, and I hope they play in LA, because the city can't afford them.

Eagles Give T.O. a Season-Ending Timeout

The guy wants to win, he's tired of business as usual, the chunky soup commericals, the oh donovan you're the greatest. he got in a fight with their official good will ambassador, now hey that's what every second rate football team needs. coach lombardi, who's you're good will ambassador? andy reid isn't bill bellichik and the eagles can't run the ball, and its always been that way. god grant me the wisdom the change the things I can change... hey TO, you tried

Umpires do more damage than steroids

The league is trying to create parity by reducing those close calls which often decide a game, and making them random events. Two identical pitches often get two different calls. The players just shake their heads, and cash their pay check at the end of the month. Even the managers are blase, when the Angels were stiffed on that call, Scosia said, well we didn't play well enough to win. Oh god I can hear Billy Martin rolling over in his grave.
